Recovered from the outside, but still healing on the inside?
A caesarean isn’t just a few days of rest and then you’re back to normal. The healing keeps going long after people stop asking how you are, while you’re managing stitches, exhaustion and a newborn, often with everyone’s attention turned straight to the baby.
I’ve put together a gentle guide to help you look after yourself through this part too. Simple things around rest, movement, touch and asking for support, so you don’t get lost in the background of your own recovery.
This isn’t medical advice, just gentle support alongside whatever your midwife or GP have already told you.
